Oreganol p73 Properties, Benefits and Use

1 ounce, 0.45 & 0.27 ounces

In 2002, my husband and I were on our way to Tegucigalpa, Honduras to visit an American family that started a Christ-centered mission. Before our trip, a friend gave us a little bottle of oregano oil and mentioned that if our stomach was ever upset, to put three to five drops in our mouth, under our tongue and swallow this spicy oil. He said he has been using it for a while and found relief for an occasional sour stomach.

He was right. During our trip, after several meals, we were quick to put the oregano oil under our tongue. Within a few seconds, any hint of an upset stomach was gone.

To this day, I continue to use Oreganol p73, the brand of oregano oil my friend shared. I have tried other brands and the results are not as effective. I travel regularly and I never go without my Oreganol p73. In fact, each one of our cars has a bottle, our travel kits and our home first aid kit has several.

The maker of Oreganol P73 describes that this oil is a pure, edible essential oil that is cold-pressed, steam distilled and made from a blend of four high-mountain, wild oregano plants. The pure Oreganol P73 oil is then emulsified in a carrier of extra virgin olive oil.

I found these properties of Oreganol p73:

  • Crafted using wild oregano that is different from the spice you use in your kitchen.
  • The type of oregano used in Oreganol p73 is wild oregano – organic. It is primarily from the Mediterranean region.
  • It is made by distilling the essential oil from the oregano plant in an alcohol-free and chemical-free extraction process.
  • It takes about 1,000 pounds of wild oregano to make 1 pound of oil.
  • One ounce of Oreganol p73 may cost between $30.00 and $40.00.
  • Oregano is an herb that is a part of the mint family. There are over 30 varieties of oregano.
  • USDA research by biochemist Shiow Y. Wang states that the herb oregano has 3 to 20 times higher antioxidant activity than other herbs, fruits, vegetable and even garlic.

These are some of the benefits of the Oreganol p73 based on research:

  • Antiseptic or antimicrobial with no negative effects on the body.
  • Work very differently than antibiotics in eliminating harmful bacteria.
  • “Bacteria do not develop resistance to essential oils” describes the book Beyond Antibiotics: Healthier Options for Families by Michael A. Schmidt, et al. Oils like that of oregano interfere with bacteria’s ability to breath, explain the scientists.
  • Stimulates immune function.
  • Antiviral which helps kills viruses.
  • Fungicide that can help eliminate candida yeast growth.
  • Helps remove skin fungus when applied topically.

SUGGESTED USE OF OREGANOL P73

According to the maker of Oreganol p73, Oreganol p73 can be taken under the tongue, one or two drops. It may also be added to juice or water. I generally use three to five drops under the tongue and find quicker results when my stomach is upset. Expect a warm sensation in the mouth like when you take garlic or cayenne pepper.

Oreganol p73 may also be used topically, on skin problems. The literature states that this oil is safe for everyday use.

The name Oreganol p73 simply is a formula name given by the maker, North American Herb & Spice. P73 designates a product that has been researched and tested. Every lot of this oil is tested.
