Rick Steves Takes Me to Iran

Rick Steves Take Me to the Nations

What a treat to see a North American man travel with a small crew to Iran to show us a totally different culture via American public television.

When I was president of the International Students Association at Georgia State University, many moons ago, I remember meeting young men and women from all over the world. I so delighted in planning parties and events where all nations brought their food and music. We would dance to the sounds of music from countries I have yet to visit.

Well, tonight I had the privilege of visiting Iran thanks to Rick Steves on the Create Channel… Wow, wow, wow! I am serious, what a clean and picturesque country. I marveled at the faces of the women and men. Gorgeous and handsome respectively.

The sites that Rick presented made me want to go to visit that interesting temple called Persius, or something similar. He described that at the entrance of this ancient city there was a gate. I recall that Rick said that it had inscribed in three languages something about man abiding by God’s ways. The inscription on the gate emphasized that when man respects God’s ways (truth), there will be peace.

Thanks Rick Steves for taking me to Iran on a beautiful site seeing tour. May the hand of our blessed Creator take you safely on each journey so that your fans can visit the world from their living rooms. May I get to see some of those exotic and exciting places you share with us.

I have to look at the show to determine the name of the city that has the temple ruins. I think it may be Persepolis… Will see.
